This form of string cheese is usually, about 4 to 6 inches long and less than 1 inch in diameter. It derives the name string cheese, because it can be eaten by pulling strips of cheese (strings) off the cylindrical shaped cheese and eating the strings.
SERVING
Make your own stuffed crust pizza! Roll pieces of string cheese up in the edge of your dough and finish the pizza to your liking...with lots of cheese of course.
PAIRING NOTES
Take your pick of light beers and medium-bodied, slightly acidic wines. We’ll usually pour chianti, zinfandel, merlot, chardonnay, pinot gris or rosé if we’re popping a cork, and pilsner or weiss beer if we have a frosty mug at hand.
